Key services provided to developers in this service line include site assessment and due diligence, planning approvals and engineering design through to completion of construction. Job Description As an Electrical Designer, you will support the delivery of electrical designs for major road and transport infrastructure projects. You will be involved across the full design lifecycle, producing accurate, compliant documentation that supports safe, efficient and reliable transport networks across Queensland. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your technical and design capability while working closely with engineers, project managers and clients. Specifically: Prepare detailed electrical design drawings, calculations and documentation Assist with feasibility studies, concept designs and detailed design delivery Support EQL Rate 2 and Rate 3 public lighting submissions Assist with specifications, BoQs, cost estimates and technical reports Produce compliant designs aligned with EQL, TMR and local authority standards Attend site inspections as required to verify design intent Collaborate with internal teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality design outcomes Contribute to planning, quality assurance and risk management across projects Qualifications Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or equivalent experience 2+ years’ experience in electrical design for road or transport infrastructure Experience with public lighting (EQL Rate 2 & 3) and/or traffic signals Exposure to ITS is desirable Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS/NZS 1158, AS/NZS 4282) Proficient in AutoCAD and lighting design tools (Perfect Lite, AGI32, PowerPac, etc.) A collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail Additional Information At Colliers, we are enterprising.
