This is an entry level position with a main focus on CAD design. The CAD designer will work closely with the project managers to understand the project scope and create 2D (potentially 3D) electrical designs for awarded projects. The position will also include opportunities to assist the project team in the life cycle of the project. Training on company systems and software will be provided. Electrical knowledge desired, but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma with experience with AutoCAD
• Or trade school certificate in drafting, design, estimating, construction management, electrical technology, electrical engineering or a closely related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam and/or Adobe
• Familiarity with Accubid, Plan Grid, AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, AGI or Easy Power is desired
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the metro area
  Monday-Friday - flexible between 7:00am - 5:00pm

  Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

• Collaborate on rough draft drawings for design build projects and assist in the design process
• Create electrical drawings in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD MEP
• Read and interpret architectural and electrical plans and specifications
• Understand and apply the National Electrical Code and Minnesota Energy Code
• Coordinate project documents such as panel schedules and submittals
• Coordinate project closeout including as-built drawings and Operation and Maintenance Manuals
