This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Electrical Designer - Healthcare in the United States. This role is a senior-level position responsible for leading the electrical design and technical systems for large and complex healthcare projects. The Electrical Designer will drive high-quality project delivery, mentor team members, and ensure compliance with building codes, healthcare agency requirements, and energy efficiency standards. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to design and implement reliable electrical systems tailored to healthcare environments. The role combines technical expertise with strategic planning, providing opportunities to influence design standards, optimize workflows, and support the professional growth of emerging engineers. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both independent work and collaborative engagement across offices and projects. \n Accountabilities: Lead the production and coordination of full electrical design packages for large or highly complex healthcare projects. Standardize Revit workflows and lead the development of firmwide modeling resources, families, and templates. Mentor staff on advanced BIM strategies, technical problem-solving, and efficient design practices. Review and approve project documentation for compliance with codes, performance objectives, and client requirements. Integrate electrical systems across disciplines and resolve technical conflicts with other teams. Conduct advanced system analyses, including energy modeling, lighting simulations, lifecycle assessments, and decarbonization strategies. Lead technical discussions in client and consultant meetings, ensuring clarity in design decisions and system performance expectations. Oversee construction administration tasks, including bid review, RFI responses, submittal reviews, field observations, and punch list management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; professional licensure preferred. 10+ years of experience in the AEC industry, with a strong focus on healthcare projects. Familiarity with California HCAI/OSHPD processes and requirements, and experience with Kaiser Permanente projects preferred. Proficiency in Revit and advanced computer skills for documentation, modeling, and reporting. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with attention to detail. Ability to navigate active construction sites, including climbing ladders and assessing ongoing construction progress. Demonstrated ability to mentor team members, influence project standards, and provide guidance on complex design decisions. Self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of working under deadlines. Benefits: Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $187,000 annually.
