You will be working within our specialist Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) team, alongside other discipline’s designers and over 250 other engineers and industry experts as well as the broader Beca team across multiple of disciplines. In this role, you will be part of the team working with clients, contractors and vendors to deliver a diverse range of projects across New Zealand, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. You will gain experience across industries including water, energy, minerals & metals, food & life science, wood & fibre, manufacturing and transport. Key Responsibilities: Delivering electrical and instrumentation design for industrial, energy, water and wastewater projects 3D modelling of electrical assets in a multi-disciplinary BIM environment CAD Drafting and leadership of other drafters to deliver high quality drawings for our clients Collaborate with Mechanical/Process engineers to deliver plans for construction Support project teams with documentation, revisions and coordination of drawings/models. Establishing & maintaining design templates and drawing standards You will have the opportunity to both learn from our leading Principals, electrical specialists, delivery leads and project engineering specialists, as well as having scope to have your say and contribute. Ko wai koe | About you To be successful in this role, you will be an Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer looking to make a difference with a passion for project delivery excellence. You love to learn, be pragmatic, share knowledge and are someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You will also have an enquiring mind and be able to problem-solve and think laterally. You are a qualified Engineer with a passion and good problem-solving skills. You have grown your technical design and project experience through working on projects for water, heavy industrial, food and beverage processing facilities, or related industrial sites. You will have experience and understand the detailed design process, as well as being able to understand how designs and solutions impact on site. Experience working on-site building relationships with operations teams and the related requirements of being on site, will be an advantage.
