Starting your career with Knobelsdorff means joining a culture that values your contributions, moves quickly, takes calculated risks, and celebrates team members who step up and own their work.If you're ready to join a team where your voice matters, your growth is supported, and your impact is celebrated, Knobelsdorff (KE) is the place for you.Job DescriptionAs an Electrical Designer you are the bridge between Estimation and Operations.  The Electrical Designer will work with our Estimators, Pre-Construction Team, Drafters, and Project Managers throughout the design phase until it is ready to hand off to our Operations team.  KE performs Design Build projects, nationwide, in a variety of industries including but not limited to Biodiesel & Ethanol production facilities, Grain storage, Fertilizer Terminals, Feed & Flour Mills, Dairy Processing plants, and Cement/Aggregate plants.What You'll Do:You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:Verify vendor quotes and provide submittal packagesParticipate in customer/client design review meetings and presentationsAssist in leading/managing engineering needs to ensure final product matches the “KE-Way” designComplete conceptual engineering and or design for the followingSizing conduit/cable to serve electrical equipment such as MCC’s, Switchboards, Panelboards, and TransformersComprehend MCC BOM’s and quotes to ensure that sizing, layouts, and controller types are accurateComprehend Switchgear BOM’s and quotes to ensure that sizing, layouts, and over current protection types are correctBuild conduit cable schedules to serveMotors, Controls and instrumentation devicesBranch CircuitingMedium Voltage Distribution systems such asVacuum Fault InterruptersMetal Clad MV SwitchgearMV transformersVarious MV Cable Types and terminationsAct as a bridge from estimating to operations or concept to realityQualificationsWhat You Bring:You’re someone who wants to learn, grow, and contribute to designing electrical infrastructure.
