ELECTRICAL DESIGNER LEAD

Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Designer Lead to join our dynamic team in our London office. This is a standout opportunity for someone who combines deep technical knowledge of electrical building systems with a passion for leadership, mentorship, and design excellence. In this role, you’ll take the lead on electrical design for a diverse portfolio of building projects across the residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. You’ll collaborate closely with our talented electrical engineering and design team to deliver high-quality permit and construction drawing packages, ensuring every detail meets the highest standards and complies with all relevant codes. We’re looking for someone who thrives in both independent and collaborative settings. You’ll guide junior staff, share your expertise, and help foster a culture of continuous learning and technical growth. As a key player in project delivery, you’ll also contribute to the evolution of our design processes—bringing forward ideas, refining workflows, and driving innovation within the team.

· Lead the electrical design process for a variety of building projects (e.g., residential, commercial, institutional).
· Prepare and review electrical drawings, specifications, load calculations, and system layouts.
· Coordinate with internal disciplines (mechanical, structural, civil) and external stakeholders (architects, clients, authorities).
· Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., OESC, OBC, CSA).
· Manage project timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance for electrical components.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate electrical designers.
· Participate in site reviews, inspections, and construction administration activities.
· Other tasks as assigned by Electrical Team Lead(s), Engineers or Division Manager
