Role: Electrical Designer Location: Franklin, PA Job Overview The Electrical Designer designs, details, documents and modifies new and existing products utilizing AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks under the direction of an engineer or other team member. This position reports to the Director of Engineering and is located in Franklin, Pennsylvania. Key Responsibilities Generate and modify electrical designs, drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) from pre-established guidelines for new and existing products; Works independently or within a team to design and detail Electrical assemblies from general verbal instructions, sketches, or existing models; Work directly with engineering, manufacturing and assembly to resolve electrical issues in preparing the final product; Provides data necessary to support the sales, marketing, installation, operation and maintenance of products; Product sustainment and support for all Conair products; Execute Engineering Change Requests (ECRS) as required; Other duties as assigned. Requirements Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and/or five (5)+ years of direct work experience without formal education; Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks experience a plus; Position typically expects zero (0) to five (5) years of direct/relevant experience based on scope of position; Work under close supervision; Primary job functions require little latitude for independent judgment; relies on clearly defined instructions; Must be willing to share ideas within Conair and accept ideas from others; Must be able to use engineering principles in the design of products or systems; Able to design according to industry standard requirements such as UL, NFPA, CE, and other specifications; Travel as needed to other locations in execution of assigned tasks; Act in a professional manner at all times; Ability to design products utilizing computer-aided tools; Moderate PC skills in MS Office software for design calculations and reports; Champions a culture of continuous innovation and improvement.
