JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of electrical systems for our mechanical product lines. This is a hands-on role ideal for new graduates or early-career engineers looking to apply their technical knowledge, develop industry experience, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient products.

TECHNICAL SKILLS (PREFERRED, NOT ALL REQUIRED):

  • Familiarity with electrical/control system design (including PLCs and DDC systems).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and system operation.
  • Experience (academic or internship) with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent), including harness/cable routing.
  • Understanding of power distribution fundamentals and schematic creation.
  • Awareness of regulatory standards (UL, CE, etc.) is an asset.
  • Exposure to MRP/ERP systems and BOM management is an asset.
  • Willingness to work with systems up to 600V AC under proper supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • The ability to travel throughout North America.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design of electrical systems for production builds, including schematics, panel layouts, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Prepare and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and specifications under supervision of senior engineers.
  • Create wiring diagrams and support the preparation of wiring instructions for production teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Manufacturing, Applications, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service—to support project needs.
  • Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to clarify design requirements.
  • Support troubleshooting of electrical and control issues, including assisting with field service and commissioning.
  • Maintain awareness of current product requirements, electrical design standards, and safety practices.
  • Develop 3D models, schematics, and panel layouts using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Support product updates and modifications based on customer or manufacturing requirements.
