Description
The Opportunity We're looking for a highly capable, electrical draftman. This role is open to all nationalities (UAE / Gulf experience preferred). What you'll do Prepare accurate electrical shop drawings, layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit. Perform MEP coordination with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, structural, and interior design drawings to eliminate clashes. Create and update Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCP) with lighting fixtures, outlets, and coordination details. Develop wall coordination drawings showing electrical outlets, switches, conduits, trunking, and cable trays. Prepare and maintain load schedules, panel schedules, and cable schedules. Ensure all drawings comply with DEWA regulations, UAE standards, and project specifications. Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, RFIs, and authority feedback. Support electrical engineering team in preparing material submittals and shop drawing packages. Maintain organized drawing registers, version control, and document control processes. Qualifications 2–5 years of drafting experience in MEP projects (villa, residential, low-rise & mid-rise buildings preferred). Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP (mandatory). Good understanding of DEWA standards, UAE building codes, and electrical design principles. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. Knowledge of load calculation basics and panel scheduling. Detail-oriented with strong coordination and time-management skills. Good English communication (Arabic is a plus).
