INFORMATION
We are currently seeking an Electrical Drafter, of all levels of experience from junior to senior with 7+ years of experience, who is ambitions, highly motivated, curious learner, personable, and is a team player who is looking to accelerate their career. Salary to be dependent on level of experience of the applicant.
e2 Engineering Inc. is an electrical engineering consulting firm located in the heart of Victoria and a secondary office in Nanaimo serving clients with integrity, excellence, and initiative. We provide electrical design services for new and existing residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings throughout Vancouver Island.
Job Type – Full-time, Permanent, local candidates only, applicants who reside outside Vancouver Island will not be considered
Benefits – Employees are eligible for enrollment in our company benefits package following successful completion of a three-month probationary period.
Schedule – Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)

QUALIFICATIONS
· Diploma in drafting or related work experience.
· Great communication abilities.
· Minimum 2 years experience in the industry as a design/drafting technician.
· Detail oriented with the ability to read construction drawings (architectural, mechanical, electrical, and interior design).
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD; preference to be given to those with demonstrated knowledge and experience with MEP in Revit.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documentation.
· Ability to quickly absorb and use company-specific standards and procedures
· Experience in the electrical-construction industry is an asset, with preference given to candidates who have experience with electrical projects associated to building design.

· Work with Project Manager (PM) to convert electrical design markups to CAD format utilizing AutoCAD 2021.
· Prepare legend and details under the direction of the PM.
· Attend consultant coordination meeting with the PM and update CAD file.
· Attend site visits with Project Manager to capture existing electrical devices.
· Capture/coordinate mechanical items on electrical drawings under supervision of PM.
· Maintain a high quality of work, delivered on time, while meeting or exceeding PM expectation.
· Discuss and propose solutions for drafting issues.
· Other tasks assigned by PM based on individual project requirements.
