The Boeing Company is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineering Manager - Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) located in Berkeley, MO.
Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a first-level manager responsible for leading a team of engineers and technical staff performing engineering activities in the areas of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects design, including EMI/EMC, TEMPEST/EMSEC, Lightning, HERO, and EMRADHAZ analysis and testing. The manager will develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals to ensure compliance with Boeing and Military E3 requirements.
This role requires providing technical management of suppliers, leading process improvements, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports. The manager will oversee technical approaches, products, and processes, while managing, developing, and motivating employees to foster a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and/or projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE):

  • 5 or more years of experience leading teams or projects in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects.
  • Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects subjects including TEMPEST, HEMP, HERO, HERF, HERP, shielding, cable construction.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, and DO-160 standards.
  • Avionics, aircraft, or weapons systems experience in requirements decomposition, integration, and testing.
  • Strong program management experience.
  • Proven leadership skills in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent.
  • Active Secret clearance

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful execution of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects activities across multiple projects and programs.
  • Develop, implement, and manage viable schedules, project execution plans, and resource plans in accordance with Boeing Program Management Best Practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and foster collaboration on technical approaches and processes within the team and with external partners.
  • Acquire and manage resources for projects and processes
  • Implement policies and procedures, establish team goals, and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of technical data and deliverables.
  • Partner with senior E3 management to balance personnel with program needs and budgets, and create long-term staffing forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  • Manage, develop, and motivate engineers at all levels, conducting regular one-on-one meetings to support career growth and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, including technical management of suppliers.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement.
