Job Title: Electrical/Electronic Maintenance and Test Engineer
Location: Portsmouth Naval Base
Salary: £42,000 – £44,300 depending on skills and experience

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Essential:

• Knowledge and experience of Electrical/Electronic Systems and what influences their performance
• Understanding of electrical safe systems of work
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal, ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
• IT literate in the use of Microsoft Office, with the ability to produce technical reports and spreadsheets

Desirable:

• NVQ4/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or relevant experience
• Knowledge of Fibre/Copper Data Cable installation, termination, testing and fault finding
• Experience in the use of electronic Test Equipment
• Understanding of Low-voltage (Up to 24Vdc and Up to 230Vac) systems would be advantageous

• Maintenance, defect diagnosis and rectification on Electrical/Electronic Systems
• Applying logical and methodical problem-solving skills in order to resolve complex challenges, issues and faults associated with, operation and performance of Systems
• Operating Safe Systems of Work that comply with the company SHE procedures at all times
• Providing information and technical advice to assist in the compilation of estimates, programs and work packages
• Offering mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced Engineers
