We are seeking an Electrical & Embedded Controls Engineer with a unique blend of embedded systems expertise and PLC/HMI industrial automation skills. This hybrid role will design, program, and integrate the full spectrum of controls for EDDY Pump’s diesel and electric-driven systems, including microcontroller-based embedded devices, PLC-driven automation panels, and intelligent sensor networks.
You will collaborate with our mechanical, hydraulic, and software engineering teams to deliver rugged, reliable, and intelligent pumping and dredging solutions for tough industrial and marine environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in both embedded systems and industrial PLC/HMI controls.
• Strong embedded firmware programming skills (C, C++, or equivalent RTOS/embedded Linux experience).
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, or similar).
• Experience with VFDs, motor control, and industrial power systems up to 480 V.
• Familiarity with communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, CAN, RS485).
• Strong troubleshooting skills; ability to work hands-on in the field.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for commissioning and support.
