Pay Rate: $41.25/hour

Employment Type: Contract (8 Months, Potential for Extension or Permanent Hire)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in aerospace or safety-critical product development.
  • Experience developing CCAs and PCBs.
  • Proficiency in circuit analysis, modeling, and electronic testing.
  • Demonstrated experience writing technical substantiations/justifications for component changes.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with systems integration and production/factory support.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as DO-254.
  • Familiarity with electronic control units, electromechanical, and actuation systems.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

BEPC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of electronic control units and airborne electronic hardware within aerospace applications. This role will be pivotal in delivering solutions for safety-critical systems such as gas turbine engine controls, electronic subassemblies, sensors, and actuation systems. You will take ownership of product lifecycle responsibilities, from design and compliance to production and factory support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production/Factory Support
  • Resolve production support cases and release associated Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Provide technical substantiation and justification for design changes.
  • Guide engineers and partner with project engineering teams to distribute workload.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including component engineering, test services, materials, and certification.
  • Design & Integration
  • Develop and validate Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) and Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).
  • Ensure supplier drawings/parts comply with engineering and governing requirements.
  • Reconcile product requirements with system-level and customer requirements.
  • Integrate product designs into larger systems, ensuring functionality and compliance.
  • Communication & Component Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and project engineering.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, and integrating supplier schedules into program timelines.
  • Author coordination memos, track responses, and maintain project documentation.
  • Compliance & Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with DO-254 and other design assurance standards for Airborne Electronic Hardware.
  • Provide design assurance for nuclear hardening in Electronic Control Units.
