About client: SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center), a Federal Government Lab of the Department of Energy, is looking for an Electrical Engineer. This is a long- term contract assignment and will be based in Menlo Park, CA.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for electrical facility type (MEP)field installation and electrical systems and equipment.

• 3 to 5 years experience in Oversight of electrical facility type (MEP)field installation (of Cable trays, Electronic racks, Cables, Cable terminations) per design drawings, Technical specification and Statement of work document.
• Read and understand installation drawings (Rack layouts, Cable trays layouts, Cable tray structural supports, Cable installation,….)
• Understand contract documents (Technical specification and statement of work)
• Respond to RFIs (Request for Information) and approve submittals
• Produce 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings
• Cable trays and conduits design
• Make modifications to existing installation drawings as needed
• Cable routing - Cable tray and conduit fill calculations based on NEC rule
• Able to learn and adapt quickly – New software (Tool), SLAC’s geography,..
  Would be a plus if:-
• Able to produce electrical schematic & single line drawings and Wiring diagrams.

  Job Type: Contract
  Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 40 per week
