Description
The Role: As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll work hands-on with the team building the electrical and power systems that make our autonomous vessels operate safely and reliably at sea. You’ll support design, integration, and testing of control panels, power distribution, and sensing hardware across our platforms. If you are not afraid of getting a little wet, come join our team to develop the latest in autonomous ship technology, gain valuable experience, and have fun doing it. What You'll Do: Design of electrical control panels, harnesses, and subsystem interfaces. Support integration and testing of power distribution, batteries, converters, and switchgear. Create schematics meeting marine and navy requirements. Work with various contract manufacturers to get cable harnesses and electronic assemblies built and tested. Perform bench tests and debug boards, harnesses, and controls. Coordinate with Mechanical, Systems, Marine, and Software teams to get projects built and out the door. Provide clear, concise instructions to technicians for testing and assembly tasks. Who You Are: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in robotics, power, autonomy or similar fields. Familiar with AC and DC circuit design and analysis. Robotics Engineering experience. Experience designing and testing to industry/electrical standards. Have decent soldering skills and comfortable with hand tools and basic power tools. Ability to use electrical test equipment safely. Experience working on 1000VDC and 480Vac projects. Experience programming embedded systems. Nice To Haves: Develop scripts to manipulate and parse test data. Expected Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000 annual base salary.
