JOB SPECIFICATION: ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Location: Wigan (Office-based)
Hours: Monday – Friday (9am–5pm or 8am–4pm, depending on project/site needs)
Type: Full-time, Permanent

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our expanding MEP team. You’ll work across diverse market sectors and contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality electrical engineering solutions. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in UK Building Services with strong technical knowledge in electrical design.
  • HNC/HND or currently working towards a degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Experience with electrical design software (e.g., Amtech), AutoCAD, Revit, and familiarity with BIM processes.
  • Proven experience delivering electrical engineering designs in the building services sector (minimum 1 year).
  • Site-based experience (4+ years) seeking to transition into design will be considered an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
  • Must be available to work from the Wigan office.
Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of electrical design services for multidisciplinary building projects.
  • Produce electrical design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the internal MEP team on site surveys, project meetings, and client engagement.
  • Manage smaller-scale projects, with scope to take on larger responsibilities as you progress.
