Job Description This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated engineer to contribute to impactful Energy projects across global offices and continue developing their technical expertise in a supportive, high-performing team. Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications Overall 5+ years of work experience is preferred. Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Structural, or Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Registered with Board of Engineer (BEM) and preferable Professional Engineer with Practice Certification status. Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams working for Grid Utilities (for e.g., National Grid, Trans grid, PowerGrid etc.,) for Underground HV Cables design is highly desirable Exposure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred Previous design experience working with CYMCAP or other similar software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations, EMTP Calculations and modelling expertise is highly desirable Chartership with IET-UK or equivalent is desirable Fluent English language skills (both written and oral) Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
