If you answered yes, our Chalk River location is looking for an Electrical Engineer to contribute to the development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs of electrical power systems. Can you see yourself providing integrated project management, engineering, design, and construction services for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, and Research & Development experiments at the Chalk River site? Responsibilities
  • Designing of retrofits and modifications to existing electrical engineering systems.
  • Designing of electrical distribution systems, medium and low voltage (Class I through Class IV) power supply systems, alarm systems, lighting systems, etc.
  • Specifying technical components for electrical systems.
  • Performing electrical power studies (e.g. load flow, short circuit, coordination and arc flash) using power studies software (preferably ETAP).
  • Preparing of design documentation including design plans, concept reports, design requirements, design descriptions, design manuals, design guides, technical specifications, and technical notes.
  • Preparing of project documents including customer proposals, work plans, schedules, and estimates.
  • Providing engineering support during the construction, installation and commissioning project phases.
  • Acting as a customer liaison.
  • Developing engineering specifications and standards facilitating a consistent design approach
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
