Insight Global are seeking a highly skilled and handson Electrical Engineer to lead the design of circuits for printed circuit boards (PCBs). This is a technical leadership role focused on driving design excellence, not a functional management position. The ideal candidate will have proven success in design leadership for electronics. This position requires eligibility for Secret Level Clearance to support a DOD program in San Diego, CA. *Individuals can start without the clearance in-hand.

Base Salary Range: $150,000 – $208,000

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience in electrical system architecture/design and technical team leadership/ stakeholder engagement.
• Expertise in high-speed digital circuit design and embedded processing.
• Strong background in hardware systems including digital, analog, and RF.
• Familiarity with DoD technical review processes (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• High-reliability aerospace electronics and electrical systems.
• DOD Experience
• Experience with unmanned space systems and satellites (micro-, cube-, or small-satellites >500 kg).

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years professional work experience
• Master’s Degree with 10 years professional work experience
• PHD with 7 years professional work experience

• Lead the design and development of high-speed digital, analog, and RF circuits for embedded systems and controls.
• Architect electrical systems for command and data-handling applications.
• Guide hardware designs from concept through development and into production.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineering staff and chief engineers on prototype design, integration, and testing of power electronics, supplies, motors, and controllers.
• Participate in DoD technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
