At Colliers Engineering and Design, you will be mentored and supported by experienced senior staff as you progress in your career. Our goal is to guide and develop you into an experienced Electrical and Lighting Engineer across multiple sectors, equipping you with the knowledge and experience needed to succeed in the industry. Specifically: Work closely with Senior Electrical Engineers, Civil Engineers and Technical Officers on designing electrical and lighting solutions to relevant standards across a broad range of projects across Land Development, SA Power Networks (SAPN), Local Government and Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), Interstate Power Distribution Design and Possessing a strong understanding of AS/NZS 3000 standard including High Voltage Masterplan Design. Work with our award-winning Landscape Architecture team in creating lighting solutions across a variety of projects. Prepare design inputs for drafting. Preparation of design reports for electrical and lighting designs. Prepare and update designs in AutoCAD. Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to external communications with: · SA Power Networks · NBN / OptiComm service consultants · DIT and local council representatives · Landscape architects and surveyors. Ensure all designs meet relevant standards and project requirements. Understand deliverables, project timelines, budgets and approvals. Participate in internal project meetings and design reviews. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to project schedules. Exposure to multidisciplinary collaboration across Collier’s Design Team. Site inspections Project Management of Electrical and Lighting Projects Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering. 3+ years of experience in electrical reticulation design or drafting, preferably with some exposure to land development, Local Government, DIT, architectural lighting, SA Water and SA Power Networks (or equivalent interstate distributors) projects. Candidates are still encouraged to apply with experience in other sectors. Technical experience in lighting and electrical design for transport, infrastructure, land development, local government or industrial sectors. Experience with AutoCAD and AGI32 software (training and mentorship provided). Experience with relevant Australian Standards and Industry Design Guides, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS 1158. Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Eagerness to learn from senior staff. Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team. Exposure to SA Power Networks / DIT is beneficial but not mandatory. Eligible for membership or already a member with Engineers Australia (CPEng desirable.) Familiar with Safety in Design methodology as it relates to Electrical and Lighting projects.
