About the role: The Technology organization of the R&D Taste/Food Preparation organization is comprised of five main competence centers: Electromechanical, Induction, Steam, Gas and Microwave. The Technology module organization provides the relevant R&D capabilities to all business areas – Europe, Asia Pacific & Middle East, Latin America, North America – to deploy innovative consumer experiences through global reuse and new development of technology systems that support the GenPlans defined in the BAs and at Global Product Line level. The efforts of this group are to ultimately increase speed to market, innovation and utilization of best design practices to optimize Electrolux build quality and technical prowess worldwide. We are seeking candidates with varying levels of experience to contribute to the design, development, and management of electromechanical components. You will play a key role in driving quality improvement, cost optimization, new product introduction, complexity reduction, and innovation. What you’ll do: Identify and implement innovative solutions for the electrical subsystem, leading initiatives related to quality improvement, cost optimization, new product introduction, complexity reduction, and new feature development. Supervise and collaborate with other engineers during component development, ensuring adherence to tools and processes such as DFMEA, CSRA, supplier audits, etc. Define component specifications by gathering requirements from diverse process partners such as Architecture, Quality, IP, Manufacturing, etc.. Manage the full lifecycle of the allocated portfolio, including the creation and maintenance of electrical components’ catalogue, Component Supply Specification, Design Guidelines, Roadmap, IP database, and Cost Model. Drive innovation based on consumer insights Who you are: Language: English University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field. Focus on innovation and problem-solving in the electrical engineering domain. Effective communication skills to engage with all company functions and manage suppliers. Proficiency in a 2D/3D design tools (NX, CATIA V5). Strong knowledge of electrical components, testing methods, component development, and design. Strong structured engineering approach during each development phase. Capablility of presenting and discussing proposals factually. Full lifecycle management expertise, including the creation and maintenance of electrical components’ catalogue, Component Supply Specification, Design Guidelines, Roadmap, IP database, and Cost Model. Good knowledge of approval and environmental regulations in different countries. Collaborate with suppliers, factories, and other process partners to analyze technical solutions. International mindset to collaborate with multiple regions and cultures. Ability to work efficiently in a matrix organization. Strong computer literacy (MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS Project). Additional skills considered a plus: Experience as a technical project leader (or PMP certification). Experience in value management and Design for Assembly and Manufacturing. Extensive experience in the appliance industry and knowledge of safety standards (UL858, IEC60335, IEC60730). EMI/EMC knowledge.
