We are seeking a dynamic, innovative, quality-oriented individual to join our team as an entry level Electrical Engineer with an interest in cross training with our instrumentation and control system team. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work and grow as a team player within a multi-discipline engineering firm. This position will support our team in providing clients with diverse and technically challenging electrical, controls, and telecommunication system design for commercial, institutional, alternative energy, military, and industrial projects throughout Alaska and beyond. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed professional engineers and design professionals. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Include: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam 0-3 years of experience in electrical design, construction, or related field Experience with Microsoft Office 365 software & applications Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight Ability to research applicable codes and standards to establish basis of design Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desire to learn and work with a team of professionals The desire and motivation to learn the latest technologies and practices to enhance your professional career Attention to detail, integrity, and personal pride in a job well done Preferred Qualifications Include: Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit Experience with power system analysis software (ETAP, EasyPower, SKM etc) Experience with National Electrical Code and application to design Strong knowledge or awareness of electrical engineering and /or electrical installation construction practices to build upon Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, construction background and/or work experience Demonstrated interest or experience in alternative energy technologies and a strong commitment to contributing to the energy revolution through innovative engineering solutions. Demonstrated interest or experience with Industrial Automation and Control systems, cybersecurity, and network design This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
