Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Electrical Engineer will work as part of a Through Life Support (TLS) team along with a Senior Electronics Technician. The TLS team’s core responsibilities will be all manner of activities related to in-field product support, which is a joint product of Ultra Electronics Maritime Systems and Orica.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience participating in the development and product support of commercial or military type electronics
- The successful person must be able to gain the appropriate Canadian government security clearance and satisfy all requirements to be able to work on Canadian Controlled Goods projects.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Experience with product field technical support, customer engagement, and product development
- Experience with change control, reliability engineering, and through life support
- A team-oriented individual that works collaboratively to achieve team goals, and maintains a positive attitude

- Analogue & Digital circuit analysis and design, including embedded microcontroller, DSP, and embedded peripherals
- Ability to understand, validate and maintain other developer’s code
- Experience with hazard analysis and safety standards
- Competent C language programming and embedded development tools
- Software GUI development and software programming language experience
- Embedded software / firmware writing and implementation for existing and new hardware platforms
- Ability to understand, validate and maintain other developer’s code
