REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Member of a provincial professional engineering association (e.g., APEGA, APEGS)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in heavy industry or industrial facilities

DESIRED SKILLS AND ASSETS

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering and/or heavy industrial environments
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in medium and high-voltage systems (an asset)
  • Experience in building systems design (an asset)
  • Familiarity with hazardous area classification and design (an asset)
  • Proficiency in English; French is considered an asset

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Regina, SK S4R 1J

Responsibilities
  • Lead or contribute to electrical engineering projects, including multidisciplinary initiatives
  • Produce deliverables in accordance with engineering standards and project requirements
  • Design electrical systems primarily for heavy industrial applications
  • Conduct technical studies, including:
  • Load flow analysis
  • Protective coordination
  • Arc flash analysis
  • Prepare technical documentation:
  • Calculation notes
  • Technical specifications
  • Engineering reports
  • Design and specify components and systems such as:
  • Power distribution (120 V, 600 V, 4.16 kV, 25 kV)
  • Motor load power supply
  • Heating cables
  • Power generators
  • Lighting systems
  • Grounding systems
  • Prepare engineering proposals and cost estimates
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution
