Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This opportunity has arisen from our ongoing success and growth in the renewable energy sector. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer.
As part of the Engineering Team, you will be responsible for managing the technical electrical design interfaces, technical procurement and production of quality processes across a diverse range of electrical HV projects in line with Powersystems’ strategy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Project and Senior Project Engineers with technical deliverables.
  • Manage electrical interfaces: layouts, SLDs, design packages, cable schedules, technical calculations.
  • Liaise with suppliers; manage procurement with the Procurement Manager.
  • Attend factory acceptance tests as required.
  • Coordinate roles within project team, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Review and compile safe systems of work and HV Safety documentation.
  • Produce non-conformance reports on technical deviations.
  • Attend site meetings, conduct inspections and audits for quality and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.
  • Coordinate project requirements with the Commissioning Manager.
  • Manage simulation studies or review those undertaken externally.
  • Optional HV switching operations; develop into AP or SAP roles.
  • Uphold a professional image, contribute to efficiency and improvement.
