Job Summary Al Marwan Developments is looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer – Heavy Machinery to oversee electrical systems, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment across various project sites. The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure efficient and safe operation of electrical components in construction machinery. Key Responsibilities The key duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer – Heavy Machinery include, but are not limited to: Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and trucks Diagnose complex electrical faults and provide effective technical solutions Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures Review and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation Coordinate with mechanical teams, workshop staff, and site personnel for maintenance activities Supervise electricians and technicians to ensure quality and timely completion of work Maintain accurate reports, maintenance records, and technical documentation Support procurement by specifying electrical components and spare parts Attend major breakdowns and provide technical guidance for quick resolution Perform ad-hoc tasks as required to support operational efficiency Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 4–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with heavy machinery or construction equipment Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components in heavy equipment Ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics Familiarity with maintenance planning and asset management systems Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Good communication and leadership abilities Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools Knowledge of safety standards and best practices UAE driving license is an advantage Flexible, proactive, and able to work across different locations as required
