  • Bachelor’s degree required with a concentration in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in PCB Design Software, Schematic Capture, Circuit Design & Analysis, PCB Layout, Test & Debug, Microcontrollers and Industry Standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Systems, Thermal Management, and Simulation Tools.

The Electrical Engineer designs, develops, troubleshoots, and maintains electrical and control systems for manufacturing operations.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a concentration in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or other related technical degrees is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in programming and troubleshooting in Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial machine controls and automation, including the following: solid-state circuitry, electronics, robotics, electrical-mechanical devices, motors/drives, wiring diagrams and schematics, computers, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer networks, switches, and IP protocol
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and AutoCAD 2D.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with all levels and teams of the organization.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Support and strive towards safe operations in all facets of the manufacturing facility.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, inspect, and test a variety of production systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the plant staff and outside vendors regarding equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and spare or emergency parts.
  • Create and/or modify PLC, HMI, and robot programs.
  • Perform equipment failure analysis and work with a team to develop a preventive or predictive maintenance solution.
  • Initiate projects and develop cost estimates with supporting data for financial justification.
  • Develop and lead electrical/controls training sessions.
  • Maintain current software and program backups to ensure timely recovery of critical processes.
  • Follow standard design techniques, tools, and principles in creating and maintaining technical documentation and electrical drawings.
  • Research, develop, design, test, and evaluate electrical components, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering.
  • Ability to lead projects and work with suppliers
