    KGS Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer-in-Training to join our well-established office in Mississauga, ON.

Additional skills that would be considered an asset include:

  • Power system analysis, short circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting and dynamic studies using ETAP or PSCAD.
  • Experienced AutoCAD user
Responsibilities
  • Low voltage, medium voltage and high voltage electrical system design including power distribution, substation design, protection and control systems and motor control center.
  • Ability to design single line and three line diagrams.
  • Knowledge of equipment schematic diagrams and terminal wiring diagrams.
  • Generating station grounding system design based on IEEE80.
  • Lighting system calculation and design.
  • Site inspections for drawing compliance or data gathering.
  • Preparation of preliminary drawings, equipment technical specifications, detail design and associated construction drawings.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of reports and proposals.
  • Working collaboratively with other disciplines to execute project deliverables, as well as ensuring that quality objectives, schedules and budgets are met.
