Company Description The company has facilities in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, Franklin Virginia and Duluth, Minnesota. The company operates five tissue machines and produces bath tissue, paper towels, and napkin parent rolls primarily for the Away-from-Home segment of the North American tissue market. Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to support daily operations and lead technical initiatives within our tissue manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience, with a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems in an industrial environment. Experience working on capital or process improvement projects will be considered a strong asset. This role is essential for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems that support tissue production. Key Responsibilities  Operational Support: Provide daily electrical engineering support to production and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.  Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues related to motors, drives, MCCs, switchgear, power distribution, and control systems.  Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance plans for electrical systems to minimize downtime and increase reliability.  Project Involvement: Support and/or lead electrical aspects of capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.  Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical systems comply with local codes, company standards, and safety regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA).  Documentation & Standards: Maintain accurate documentation for electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and system modifications.  Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors, contractors, and OEMs for system installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.  Energy Efficiency & Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce energy usage and improve system efficiency within the plant.  Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to maintenance personnel and support the development of electrical best practices across the site. JOB INFORMATION Number of Job positions available: 1 for each position Job Type: Full Time/salaried. Starting Salary: The proposed salary range is $65,000–$70,000 for Engineers and $45,000–$48,000 for E&I Technicians. Workweek: Standard office hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; however, these hours may vary depending on the specific location and the level of support or issues that arise at the mill. Qualifications  Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience in a tissue or paper manufacturing plant.  Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation.  Proven experience supporting day-to-day plant operations and troubleshooting under pressure.  Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 70E).  Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and wiring diagrams.  Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.  Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical). Preferred Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.  Experience with project engineering, from concept through execution. Exposure to automation systems, PLC programming platforms is a plus.  Experience working in a continuous process environment.
