We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical / RF Engineering Intern with a strong academic foundation in RF, radar, and electromagnetic theory. The intern will support RF certification, standards compliance, system performance analysis, and RF link budget evaluations for DoD and federal communications systems. This role involves collaborating with program offices, system vendors, and senior engineers to ensure RF equipment performance meets DoD, NTIA, ITU, and related federal standards. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on industry experience. Responsibilities: RF System Support & Performance Review Apply fundamental RF, electromagnetic, and radar theory to assist in reviewing RF system characteristics and performance (e.g., antennas, filters, BER, S/N, I/N, S/I+N). Help evaluate RF system interactions and interoperability with other RF equipment. Support development and review of RF link budgets using appropriate propagation models. Standards & Compliance Support Assist in reviewing RF/radar equipment specifications (transmitters, receivers, antennas) against: DoD standards NTIA regulations ITU guidance Help document compliance / non-compliance findings. Participate in technical discussions with vendors and program teams to support improvement recommendations. Follow established DoD and NTIA certification procedures under guidance of senior engineers. Modeling, Documentation & Collaboration Support RF modeling and simulation tasks. Assist in preparing engineering notes, review summaries, and technical reports. Work in a collaborative team environment and learn from experienced RF engineers. Requirements Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s (completed or in progress) in: Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology or related technical discipline 0 – 1 years of experience (internships, labs, capstone, or academic projects accepted) Foundational knowledge in: RF & radar theory, RF components (transmitters, receivers, antennas, filters), RF link budget concepts, RF modeling / simulation, Commercial wireless systems (5G / 6G) Familiarity (or willingness to learn): RF certification & NTIA standards Familiarity in Office 365 & Windows tools US Citizenship as required by US government contract Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Location: Ft.
