The iTS family includes four product brands: Temptronic, Sigma Systems, Thermonics, and North Sciences. inTEST Thermal Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of inTEST Corp, Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA. inTEST Thermal Solutions is now seeking to recruit a full time ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Hybrid Position) to join our team in Mansfield, MA. Requirements Responsible for a wide variety of product development work, including providing solutions to problems and design of new systems. Assignments involve the application of electro-pneumatic instrumentation, system electrical layout and circuit protection, and electronics. Prepare or instruct in the preparation of design drawings and follow up or assist in determining specifications and standards, under direction of the Sr. Electrical Engineer. Troubleshoot and provide manufacturing and customer support as needed. Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment and systems, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for attaining knowledge and experience in the application principles and practices of electrical engineering; awareness of pertinent elements of such related fields as thermal, hydraulic and mechanical engineering; and knowledge of product engineering, design, construction and documentation; Ability to guide the efforts of assigned technicians towards productive results. Analyze new product and product modification specifications and requirements, product proposals, and determine development feasibility. Estimate time and cost requirements. Develop products and apply engineering principles to meet product requirements. Develop products and apply engineering principles to meet product development and design requirements. Assure the electrical integrity of new and modified products .Design or supervise the design and direct assembly of prototype PCB’s, sub-systems, and systems. Provide necessary engineering support and guidance. Develop, perform or control the performance of tests necessary to measure performance, reliability, life and conformance to specifications of new or modified products or components. Provide the engineering package including full documentation on prototypes submitted for acceptance. Review designs and design requirements for suitability, select new product parts, review vendor qualifications, and establish process specifications and tooling requirements for new or modified products. Develops procedures to conduct environmental, life and industry standards such as CE Mark testing to evaluate performance reliability of prototype or production model. May direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Perform other related duties as required by management. Will observe and adhere to all safety rules and practices. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, hazard-free \condition, reporting all defective equipment or hazardous conditions. Perform other related duties as required by management. QUALIFICATIONS: BSEE / MSEE 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Solid theoretical background as well as demonstrated experience. Experience in electromechanical product design. Solid theoretical background in analog and digital circuit design Strong technical and problem solving skills. Knowledge of PLCs and/or embedded controllers a plus.
