CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Electrical / Control and Instrumentation Engineering (desired) or qualified electrician with relevant experience
  • Understanding and experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Automation systems (Allen Bradley PLC, Rockwell, SCADA) is beneficial
  • Analytical skills and strategic problem-solving abilities (root cause analysis, process improvements, and corrective actions)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Passion for process improvement and asset management techniques, systems, and processes relative to automation
  • Capable of motivating and inspiring colleagues at all levels to build a high-achieving team
  • RPEQ Registration highly regarded
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Electrical Engineer at our plasterboard manufacturing facility in Pinkenba, QLD. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining the daily manufacturing processes at the facility, while gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a thriving production environment.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embrace a safety-first culture and ensure our values are upheld within the maintenance team, contractors, and across the site
  • Provide support in electrical and automation engineering systems troubleshooting and timely breakdown rectification using RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Assist in the management and implementation of electrical projects on-site
  • Help develop and monitor the site’s electrical preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain the electrical critical spare parts register
  • Manage electrical risks by ensuring all systems adhere to relevant regulations and standards
  • Be involved in the setup and management of PLC and Data Systems
