Description
About the role The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the practical implementation, integration, and optimization of electrical systems for industrial machines, robotic cells, and automation equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong connection to the shopfloor, production, commissioning, and industrialization, not a pure R&D or office-based design position. The focus is on safe, compliant, and manufacturable electrical solutions, ensuring robust industrial execution in accordance with machine safety standards and electrical regulations such as EN 60204 and VDE 0100. Special Note This is not a purely R&D or theoretical design specialist. This role requires hands-on technical ownership—working closely with the shopfloor, solving practical industrial challenges, and ensuring safe, reliable machine operation in day-to-day use. Your Responsibilities Design, review, and optimization of electrical systems for machines, robotic cells, and industrial automation equipment Creation and validation of electrical schematics, technical documentation, and compliance-related documentation Ensure compliance with EN 60204, VDE 0100, machine safety requirements, and electrical safety standards Support commissioning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical problem-solving directly on the shop floor Drive prototype build-up, industrialization, and transfer into stable production processes Provide technical support for assembly, wiring, testing, and supplier/system integrator coordination Essential Skills Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable technical qualification Strong practical experience in industrial electrical engineering, machine building, automation, or robotics Solid knowledge of EN 60204, VDE 0100, and machine electrical safety requirements Experience with electrical equipment of industrial machines and production systems Hands-on mentality with willingness to work directly in production, commissioning, and troubleshooting Strong understanding of electrical safety, inspections, and practical risk assessment Confident use of E-CAD tools such as EPLAN Structured working style, ownership, and clear technical decision-making Beneficial Skills Experience in robotic systems integration and special machinery Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) Experience working with suppliers, external integrators, and test laboratories Background in prototype development and industrialization projects Experience in cross-functional collaboration between engineering and production International project experience and strong communication skills in global teams Your Profile What we offer A dynamic high-tech company, combined with financial soundness and world-class investors.
