    We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join the Natural Gas System Control & Maintenance
    Department in Winnipeg, MB.
    Under the general direction of the Gas SCADA Engineer, you will provide electrical and SCADA engineering support for various
    department areas including governing standards compliance, cybersecurity, design documentation, standards creation,
    troubleshooting, short and long term planning, project management, coordination with other departments, operational efficiency and
    continuous improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate in Engineering from a University of recognized standing with a minimum of six-years related experience.
  • Professional Member in good standing with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
  • In depth knowledge and demonstrated practical experience of electrical and SCADA engineering for industrial environments.
  • Working knowledge of industrial control systems software and hardware.
  • Working knowledge of codes and standards applicable to engineering design including the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving operational issues in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current Personal Risk Assessment and a “Clear” security rating in accordance with Manitoba
    Hydro policy P513.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of department standards, drawings, procedures and other documentation
    associated with compliance to regulatory requirements and continuous improvement in collaboration with subject matter

experts/stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with other departments related to compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements for cybersecurity.
  • Develop short and long term plans related to SCADA equipment and technologies.
  • Review and authenticate electrical drawings for gas system upgrade projects.
  • Coordinate with Gas Engineering for operational, electrical and SCADA related items.
  • Provide technical expert level leadership, support, training, and guidance to operational technical staff in the maintenance and

operation of SCADA equipment.

  • Provide project management for department projects and initiatives.
  • Lead work with Operations, Asset Management, and Engineering departments to identify needs, prioritization, and project
