We are looking for a seasoned Electrical Engineer to join us in designing and developing cutting-edge solutions that meet rigorous performance standards and exceed customer expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW

In this hybrid role, you’ll split your time between on-site collaboration at our Mississauga office and remote work. Occasional travel (no more than twice per quarter) may be required for project commissioning and technical support at client sites.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional experience in power distribution, power generation, switchgear, or transformer industries (highly valued).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical (or equivalent software) for drafting and schematic work.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Structured Text), ideally using CODESYS.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Robust understanding of engineering processes.
Responsibilities
  • Product Design & Development: Lead the design and development of products, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
  • Schematics & Drafting: Create and update electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical, maintaining accurate documentation throughout the design cycle.
  • PLC Programming: Develop and maintain PLC programs (primarily in Structured Text) using CODESYS.
  • Project Management: Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources, effectively liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Product Testing & Commissioning: Oversee testing processes, ensure quality control for complex products, and facilitate on-site commissioning when needed (occasional travel required).
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance to both internal teams and clients, troubleshooting issues and recommending solutions.
