JOB DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a passionate and driven Electrical Engineer (Mission Critical/Data Center) to help shape the future of high-performance infrastructure. You'll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge electrical solutions for mission-critical facilities, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. From feasibility studies to construction documents and site investigations, you'll be at the forefront of innovation—ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency in every project. Strong technical writing and time management skills are essential as you lead multiple projects and contribute to transformative outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Design electrical systems for mission-critical/data center projects. Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Perform technical evaluations and provide solutions to complex electrical engineering challenges. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes. Coordinate the work of EITs and BIM Specialists with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project’s development. Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Design support during construction including field observations, submittal & shop drawing review, Request for Information (RFI) support. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. Minimum of 5 years of experience designing Data Center and/or Mission Critical Systems. Minimum of 10 years of overall Electrical Engineering experience. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems. Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, BIM Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical design software. US Citizenship Required Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of the NEC, uninterruptible power systems, power distribution, generator support systems, grounding systems, and one-line creation. Strong desire to stay current with the trends of the fast-paced industry of mission critical. Working knowledge of the following programs: Bluebeam Revu, SKM Power Tools (or similar power system analysis tools), CYMCAP (or similar programs based on Neher-McGrath and IEC-60287 methods), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent technical and specification writing abilities. COMPENSATION The salary range for this position is $150,000-$175,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
