Responsibilities

JOB OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking to recruit a full time Electrical Engineer based at our Ellesmere Port site. To provide effective maintenance, repair and servicing of plant, building and equipment. Applicants must have experience in a similar role dealing with mechanical and electrical plant and equipment repairs. Electrical bias is preferred. Knowledge in one or more of mechanical, automation, hydraulic, pneumatic, pressure systems (steam) is highly desirable. Relevant engineering qualifications are required or candidate is working towards such qualifications. You will work within a friendly, proactive team ensuring the smooth and continued running of this fast running plant. This is a day shift role but expected to cover shifts if needed.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
  • Carrying out fault finding, planned maintenance and reactive maintenance for electrical plant
  • Assist other team members when required or as directed from Supervisor / Contract Manager.
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
  • Completing electrical installations and upgrades on site.
  • Supervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.
  • Adopt a flexible attitude in relation to assisting on other properties within the portfolio.
  • All duties carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • To understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time
  • To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
  • To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
  • Undertaking training in mechanical maintenance and assisting mechanical team where necessary

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
