This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong electrical engineering professional to work across a diverse range of building and infrastructure projects, contributing to projects from initial design through to completion.
With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions, the business works closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to develop safe, efficient, and compliant electrical systems. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting project delivery, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring consistently high standards across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:
What You Will Need to Apply:
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have a minimum of 10 years' experience within an electrical consulting design environment, with strong experience delivering electrical building or infrastructure solutions.
You will need to be capable of working independently with limited supervision and demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, design processes, and project delivery. You should be confident taking ownership of your technical work while collaborating effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong practical experience using Revit and AutoCAD is essential, alongside a strong working knowledge of DIALux or Relux, Trimble (Amtech), and NBS specifications.
You will also need a comprehensive understanding of BS 7671 and familiarity with the CIBSE Lighting Guides, together with an understanding of relevant project and industry standards, including JPS Standards.
Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, as you will be required to liaise with a range of stakeholders and communicate technical information clearly and professionally. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve technical issues while working to project deadlines.
A valid CSCS Card is required for the position. Candidates who already hold SC clearance, or who are eligible and willing to obtain the necessary clearance, would be particularly desirable.
What You Will Get in Return:
In return for your skills and experience, the company is offering a salary of up to £90,000, depending on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects across Hampshire.
You will join an established and supportive engineering environment where your technical expertise will be valued and where you will have the opportunity to take genuine ownership of your work. The role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design and development through to installation, commissioning, and completion.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals across multidisciplinary teams, further developing your technical and project delivery expertise while contributing to high-quality engineering solutions.
