Through expert electrical support and robust project governance, this role contributes directly to operational continuity, energy efficiency, and long term asset sustainability. Responsibilities: Implement and comply with OHSE Policy, NSBI electrical safety requirements, and all relevant government regulations to ensure safe execution of electrical projects. Support and lead electrical engineering activities within CAPEX and improvement projects, including design development, scoping, technical evaluation, and execution. Develop necessary electrical safety documents before project execution (LOTO plans, electrical permits, JSEA, risk assessments). Deliver electrical design packages such as SLD updates, load calculations, equipment specifications, bill of materials, and modification proposals. Coordinate with contractors and vendors throughout tendering, installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover. Ensure all electrical project activities comply with NSBI Codes of Practice (COP), engineering standards, and government regulations (including PUIL, K3 Listrik, SLO requirements). Execute assigned CAPEX projects within approved budget, timeline, and scope while achieving Zero Harm performance. Lead field execution for electrical installation, ensuring quality, technical correctness, and adherence to project specifications. Identify and implement electrical improvement initiatives that enhance energy efficiency, system reliability, and process performance. Apply NSBI change management (MOCA) prior to implementing any electrical design or equipment modification. Ensure project documentation (as-built drawings, commissioning reports, technical files) is complete, accurate, and aligned with NSBI requirements. Qualification and/or experience required: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments. Experience in supporting or executing CAPEX / investment / improvement projects. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including LV/MV distribution, power systems, MCC, drives, and control systems. Knowledge of electrical design principles (SLD, load calculations, cable sizing, protection coordination). Understanding of national electrical standards and regulations (e.g., PUIL, K3 Listrik, SLO requirements). Good safety leadership and strong adherence to electrical safety practices (LOTO, arc flash awareness, energization protocols). Experience working with contractors and supervising electrical installation activities. Basic project management capability (scope, schedule, cost, documentation). Ability to conduct electrical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for project-related issues. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication and coordination skills with internal teams, vendors, and contractors. Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in the field. Preferred Qualification and/or experience required: Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools for drawing review and modification. Experience in electrical design, panel design, and verification of vendor drawings and schematics. Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, or basic automation systems. Experience in testing and commissioning of electrical equipment (panels, motors, drives, transformers, LV/MV systems). Knowledge of energy efficiency practices or electrical power quality improvement. Experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Understanding of reliability engineering tools (FMEA, RCM) as related to project improvements. Experience working in steel industry or other heavy industrial environments (preferred). Familiarity with CMMS applications for project documentation (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.). Knowledge in preparing technical evaluations, BOQ, and cost estimation for electrical procurement.
