ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – TRAINING TO BECOME AN AP

Location: Northolt (Travel across Middlesex, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire)
Salary: £43,000 – £46,000
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Electrical Engineer looking to take the next step in their career working for our client.
This role is ideal for an engineer who wants to become an Authorised Person (AP), with full training provided.
You will work across multiple MOD sites, ensuring electrical compliance, managing site safety, and supporting skilled personnel.
This position offers excellent career progression, with opportunities to move into management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with MOD safety regulations (JSP375) and maintain high health & safety standards.
  • Assess and support Skilled Persons, ensuring they are trained and qualified for assigned tasks.
  • Produce and manage Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permits to Work.
  • Provide professional technical support to teams, supply chains, and end-users.
  • Accurately record and manage job documentation and asset maintenance records.
  • Oversee project work and collaborate with the Billable Works team to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and contribute to carbon reduction initiatives on MOD establishments.
  • Maintain close working relationships with MOD stakeholders and provide expert technical advice.
  • Support the Helpdesk by responding to technical queries and providing guidance.
  • Develop expertise across all sites, maintain training records, and work towards full AP accreditation.
