Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Poseidon Ocean Systems develops rugged industrial aquaculture technology for fish farms worldwide, including industrial automation systems, diesel/electric compressors, engines, liquid-gas mass-transfer systems, and more
As part of the Electrical Engineering team and reporting to the EE Manager, you’ll take ownership of electrical designs from concept through production, collaborate closely with service and manufacturing teams, and see your hardware deployed on remote coastal sites worldwide

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design & Documentation – Produce schematics, wiring harness drawings, control‑panel layouts, and BOMs across the product lifecycle
  • Prototype & Validate – Build prototypes, run simulations, create test plans/scripts, and field‑test equipment at remote sites
  • Automation & Controls – Program and commission PLC/HMI systems; integrate sensors, VFDs, motors, generators, compressors, pumps, and oxygen systems; connect systems to cloud dashboards for remote monitoring
  • Troubleshooting & Support – Diagnose issues in PLCs, sensors, PCBs, and networks; work with production, service, and applications teams to improve manufacturability
  • R&D & Continuous Improvement – Research new components, develop next-generation products, and participate in design reviews to enhance performance and reduce cost
  • Travel – Visit remote sites for commissioning and troubleshooting as needed
