QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years electrical engineering experience required. University degree is a must.
  • Communication skills to assist our customers and get support from our suppliers.
  • Communicate with our customers, troubleshoot, assist with operating issues and improve based on requests.
  • Computer Skills, Troubleshooting Abilities, Supervising Abilities
  • Hands on Experience is an asset
  • Team Player: the ability to collaborate with manufacturing workers, technicians and other engineers
  • Communicate with suppliers, organize material orders, keep track of inventory
  • AutoCad experience required. PLC programming is a must. Programming Siemens PLC is an asset.
  • Native English and/or English proficiency must be expert level.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare electrical system specifications and drawings
  • Oversee production, testing, and installation of electrical equipment to confirm compliance of products with applicable codes and regulations
  • Adapt to new technologies and improve our electrical design
  • Receive and respond to customer/client concerns or complaints involving electrical controls and design
  • Identify problems with the electrical components, and propose solutions to those problems
  • Supervise members of the electrical team or equipment teams.
  • Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Design electrical and electronic circuits, components, systems and equipment.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification testing and operation of electrical and electronic system and equipment.
  • Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Investigate electrical or electronic failures
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate for construction or maintenance.
