Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Licensed Electrical Engineer (LEW) to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the operation, maintenance, and inspection of electrical installations in compliance with the Energy Market Authority (EMA) regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Nitec/Higher Nitec in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in marine electrical systems and genset maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in AC/DC systems, switchgear, and distribution.
  • Knowledge of SS 638 (Singapore wiring code) and marine safety standards.
  • Good knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and EMA requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring in accordance with EMA standards.
  • Conduct inspection, servicing, and troubleshooting of gensets (45 kVA, 125 kVA, 150 kVa)
  • Certify electrical installations and repairs as per EMA/MPA standards.
  • Plan Preventive maintenance for generators and switchboards.
  • Supervise contractors for electrical works onboard vessels.
  • Ensure emergency power systems are functional (emergency lights, alarms).
  • Maintain records of electrical inspections and repairs.
  • Support project operations by ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
  • Monitoring of electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.
  • Prepare and maintain records of inspection, testing, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and rectifying electrical faults under supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health (WSH) standards during all electrical works.
  • Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams on routine electrical works.
  • Preparation of reports and documentation for regulatory submissions (e.g., EMA licensing requirements).
