LEAD INNOVATION IN AEROSPACE ELECTRONICS – JOIN PDS TECH COMMERCIAL AS AN ELECTRONICAL ENGINEER!

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Electronical Engineer to support the design, development, and integration of advanced control systems for APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) gas turbine engines. This is a critical role within the Engines & Power Systems business, offering the opportunity to lead engineering efforts across the full product lifecycle—from concept to end-of-life.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2–4 years of experience in electronic systems engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with circuit card assemblies and printed circuit board development.
  • Proficiency in circuit analysis and modeling.
  • Experience writing substantiation/justification for change documents.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing and validation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in aerospace or safety-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with DO-254 compliance and airborne hardware standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of airborne electronic hardware development, including electronic control units and subassemblies. You’ll manage production support cases, lead design assurance efforts, and collaborate across disciplines to meet technical, safety, and compliance standards. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Factory Support:
  • Resolve production support cases and release Engineering Change Notices.
  • Provide technical substantiation for design changes.
  • Guide engineers and distribute workload across support cases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Design & Integration:
  • Develop and revise build-to-print and Approved Source List drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with system-level and customer requirements.
  • Integrate product designs into larger systems and applications.
  • Communication & Component Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, customers, and project teams.
  • Participate in planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking.
  • Author and manage coordination memos and responses.
  • Compliance & Assurance:
  • Ensure design assurance for airborne electronic hardware (DO-254 compliance).
  • Support nuclear hardening design assurance for electronic control units.
