DESCRIPTION Apple's Platform Architecture Engineering team is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and qualification of various prototyping platforms. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BSEE or BSCE degree Familiarity with computer system architecture and PCB layout Understanding of the system development process (such as concept creation, schematics and board development, board and system bring up and debugging, etc.) Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, or ARM based systems Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and/or multimeters PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MSEE or MSCE degree 20+ years of industry experience, ideally 10+ years in developing consumer electronics products Track record of leading projects from concept to prototype Experience with sensors and analog components Hands-on lab experience: soldering small surface mount components, rework, building prototypes, etc. Experience with Cadence Concept and Allegro Understanding of mechanical engineering concepts Understanding of low-level software, such as drivers and real-time operating systems
Responsibilities
