What You’ll Need 1, 5 years Hardware Electrical engineer work experience in Audio products, consumer electronic products, Appliance or Lighting products, with a Bachelor degree, or 3 years same work experience with a Master degree. 2, Major experience in the Switching mode Power supply development, including AC to DC and DC to DC power design; Class-D audio amplifier design experience and/or Battery control experience are plus; 3, Experienced in Power components calculation, selection and development, knowledgable of power transformer, power magnetics, power semiconductor components selection, battery power technology; 4. Experienced in electrical testing, EMC/EMI testing and debugging, Safety/compliance report update; 5, Experienced with schematic entry and PCB layout tools, understandable of PCB routing technology and tools; experienced in BOM management tool like Arena, debugging tools like JIRA etc; 6, Proficient in English, as demonstrated by both verbal and written methods. 7, Need to be daily based in SONOS Shanghai office (Minhang district) or Shenzhen office, Nanshan district; 8, Need to be able to travel to our contract manufacturing production lines to support the builds, testing and debugging. Travel frequency is roughly about once a month depending on the project schedule. What You’ll Do 1, Electrical hardware Design, test, implement and support product redesign/refresh and cost-reduction project. 2, Support traditional sustaining responsibilities such as failure analysis, component qualifications and performance improvements. 3, Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams to drive a design change for a specific purpose. 4, Provide “lessons-learned” feedback to the Product Development team and participate in design reviews to ensure that the next generation of Sonos products are better than ever. 5, Partner cross-functionally with Quality and Customer Support to fully understand the user experience and any design change implications. 6, Work directly with our Compliance Engineering team to ensure our product’s continued compliance with regulations and international standards. 7, Drive continuous improvements in engineering processes and best practices. 8, Travel to our JDM partners and suppliers to support product builds and resolve technical problems, as needed.
