Job Title: Electrical Engineer – Power Plant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team at power generation facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems and components within the plant. This includes system design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting plant upgrades or modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and improve electrical systems in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform regular inspections, testing, and diagnostics of electrical equipment (generators, transformers, switchgear, relays, etc.).
• Support the startup, shutdown, and daily operations of the power plant.
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop and review technical documentation such as single-line diagrams, schematics, load studies, and protection coordination.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are completed on time.
• Assist in planning and executing plant modifications, equipment upgrades, and electrical system expansion.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and local regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and control engineers for integrated plant operation.
  

  * Maintain records of work performed and generate technical reports for plant management.

Qualifications:

Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
* Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification (preferred).
Experience:
* 3–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a power generation or heavy industrial setting.
* Familiarity with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, NFPA, NERC, OSHA).
Skills:
* Strong knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage systems.
* Proficient in electrical system modeling and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM).
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documents.
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

* Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience in a [Thermal/Hydro/Nuclear/Solar] power plant.
• Familiarity with SCADA or DCS systems.
• Knowledge of energy management systems and grid interaction.
