Astronics Advanced Electrical Systems (AES) is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Product Support ? Power Electronics Systems to join our Airborne Power Control (APC) Product Team in Kirkland, WA. This is an on-site position.

JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Electrical Engineer, Product Support ? Power Electronics Systems will provide engineering support across the design, development, production, and customer support phases of Aircraft Power Control (APC) power electronics systems. This role focuses on resolving manufacturing and field issues, driving design and process improvements, addressing component obsolescence, and conducting verification testing for design changes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor?s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of electronic/electrical circuits and components, with the ability to analyze schematics and circuit operations.
- Familiarity with DO-160 and other industry standards.
- Proficiency in schematic tools, enterprise tools, and standard simulation software.
- Demonstrates familiarity (typically two-three years of experience) with the above duties, responsibilities and skills for consideration as Electrical Engineer.
- Demonstrates proficiency (typically five+ years of direct experience with the above responsibilities for consideration as Senior Electrical Engineer
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.
- An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis.
Base salary range is $79,293 - $118,940 per year for Electrical Engineer (typically two-three years of experience)
Base salary range is $102,687 - $154,031 per year for Senior Electrical Engineer (typically five or more years of experience)
Responsibilities:
- Apply a strong understanding of electrical circuits and components to prevent and resolve issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze and interpret electrical schematics, including Ohm?s Law and operational amplifiers.
- Review, prepare, and validate technical data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate and incorporate alternative components, preparing related technical documentation and drawings.
- Perform design verification and circuit testing using standard lab equipment and engineering software tools.
- Lead and participate in analysis, design, development, and qualification activities.
