At Meta’s Reality Labs Research, our goal is to make world-class consumer virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. Come work alongside industry-leading scientists and engineers to create the technology that makes VR and AR pervasive and universal. Join the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real and change the world. We are a world-class team of researchers and engineers creating the future of augmented and virtual reality, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. And just as personal computers have done over the past 45 years, AR and VR will ultimately change everything about how we work, play, and connect. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to help with our mission to accelerate AR and AI from a human perspective. In our current pipeline, a multitude of sensing components, including image sensors, microphones, and inertial measurement units are installed on the headset prototypes in order to collect a rich suite of information that reflects the user’s physical state, with an emphasis on modality synchronicity to push the state of the art in egocentric AI research, including the subfields of computer vision, robotics, and contextual AI.This role will handle circuit simulation and modeling, schematics capture, and layout design involving high-speed digital systems and programmable logic, as well as the use of multi-GHz digital test equipment. You will work in a cross-functional team including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, as well as design and research experts.
